"The Part In The Storm" Fly, oh fly, white & yellow butterfly. Drag with you the promise of the sky, For those who longingly sigh, Fly, oh fly, white & yellow butterfly. Blow, breeze, oh flow, Through my hair & trees you go, Carry with you whispers you only know, Blow, breeze, oh blow. See, oh lovely eyes see, what this could be, Grab my hand firm but tenderly, Look me face and see, See, oh lovely eyes see, what this could be. No matter the breeze or sky above, The weakness in knees or promise of love. The heart that mends or the heart that cries, The Truth outshines the glow of lies, And upon such foundations you shall see, A heart like yours is good for me. ©Mary Spotted Eagle Woman Roberts So, February is always an interesting time for me. It is my birth month, however, I have a lovely three days to stew about Valentines Day, before it comes and goes, leaving disappointment in its wake. my pessimism hardly fails to rear its head every year, right after my birthday, which might have stunted some growth because of the intensity. This year was shaping to be no different, except my stubborn, yet romantic heart was prematurely made tender by a lovely movie that is in-fact about love, longing, family, loss, vulnerability, and a childlike acceptance. This movie is called "Wild Mountain Thyme" and I will not give anything away but what the preview does: This poem is partly inspired by this movie and partly the points in me that relate to Rosemary's struggles. It is quite a sweet movie and one, I'd say, for the whole family. At the very least, it definitely spoke to a young 25yro who gets a little low during this time of year.
